Up to  4 A - REMEDIAL WORKUp to task document list

Enjambments - lines: 32;38;41;44;47;54;56;62;64 to make the rhythm faster. The sensation of something fast is used to remember the time.

Metaphors - line 32- it means the time is running out; line 58-60: hall and gates underline continuity and obstacles of their love.

Similes - line 48- it compares the skin to morning dew, because now the woman is still alive and young, so it provides an idea of freshness; line 52 they are like amorous birds of prey, because in spring time birds in love run after each other.

Sounds: "ai" remember someone who is suffering; "ou" gives the reader an idea of sadness and turmoil.

When there is not kissed rhyme the author wants to focus the attention on what he is writing. For example "eternity and virginity" are two key words and the rhyme is not kissed as usual. Then "devour and power"  expresses the main problem: time will not stop and they will not live forever.
