VICTOR LUSTIG

Victor Lustig was one of most imaginative criminals in history . He was born near Prague in 1890 . He made many crimes ( mainly fraud )including some famous like one in Missouri in 1922 he got away with a bank’s $10000 and a painting value about $22000 . Another was in 1925 in a Paris cafè , Lustig had a ingenious idea – to sell the  Eiffel Tower because a few politicians had suggested demolishing it . First he obtained false government documents  then he contacted  five companies that were interested in buying it . Lustig chose the highest offer , took the money and escaped to Austria . A few years later he returned to Paris and sold the Eiffel Tower again ! So he flew to Usa and he was arrested in 1935.
