“Radio has become a mobile service more than it used to be”
A “Mobile” a Postmodern word: anything and everybody seem to move nowadays. Human beings are constantly asked to do something, to go somewhere and, last bur not least, to say something. Life is totally different from what it used to be only some decades ago. Just some years ago people generally lived and worked in the same aerea and even if they were commuters they were daily commuters. Schools did not have mobile projects for students to go abroad. So all was quite static and only today everything changed, and this is what happened to the radio: let’s see why.
B First of all radio was originally used in our houses or in the pubs, now it is especially used when we travel by car. In fact the main feature of the radio is that you listen to it and it doesn’t use the other senses, so you can drive safely even if you are listening to it. But why we have to do something else when we are driving? Especially because we enjoy listen to music or we listen to it to stand long hours of driving, but by the time it becomes a habit.
C But when we enter a house we rarely see a radio, it is not like some years ago. This is happened with invention of television. TV can describe things better than the radio; in fact we can even see images on TV and not only listen to it. So TV has predominated over radio by the years in nearly all the areas, except someone like travelling by car, how we said before. So it’s right saying “Video killed the radio star” like the name of the famous song.
D In conclusion radio it used more when we move beacause it doesn’t catch all your attention but we can do other things when we are listening to it. For example, think when you are at the airport. The staff of the airport gives an advice, using the radio, saying that your plane is going to leave in five minutes, and even if you are distracted the advice will surely catch your attention, so you can finish to do what you are doing and approach to the terminal. Therefore radio has often been predominated by the TV, but you will always continue to be used.
