"RADIO HAS BECOME A MOBILE SERVICE THAN IT USED TO BE".
"Mobile" a Post-modern word: anything and everybody seem to move nowadays. Human beings are constantly asked to do something, to go somewhere and, last but not least, to say something. Life is totally different from what it used to be only some decades ago. Just some years ago people generally lived and worked in the same ares and even if they were commuters, they were daily commuters. School didn't have mobile projects for students to go abroad. And people fitted in these situations.
Communications were very important and they were given through the radio. For example, during wars, citizens could know if the war was near or if it was going to finish. So they could get ready to go to war or celebrate the victory. People listened to the radio every day and they didn't watch television because they had not got it. The families stayed together at home and discussed about various problems. They had lunch and dinner together and they listened to the radio. People listened to the radio when they worked too.
Now things have changed. The radio isn't used as it was many years ago when you put your ear near the radio to listen to the news. You don't remain seated comfortably at home now to listen to the radio, but you are always on the move. You listen to the radio when you are moving by car or by bike and when you are training. So the radio is no longer the only way to listen to music and it has been replaced by small things without wires: mp3, mobile phone, iPod, iPhone... But they listen to music too and not only news. When people go to work by car or by bus, they listen to the radio. You can listen to it also when you are in the bar with your friends, while you are drinking some glasses of beer.
Now families don't listen to the radio together, but they prefer watching TV. They know the news through the television or the Internet. The radio is used in the car to listen to music, and a few people listen to the news on the radio. Young and adult people know the news through television and the internet and old people through television, but they started watching TV, too neglecting the radio.
The new technologies allow people to evolve even if they can lose their familiar customs. To tell the truth people change from time to time, becoming lazier or busier.
