On Tuesday morning at about 10.15 a.m., a car was travelling north on the main road through Kimberton. It was travelling at approximately 30 miles per hour. When it reached the Stop sign at the crossroads, it stopped. No other cars turned in any direction, so the car started again and was moving right. As it was turning, a lorry travelling faster arrived behind it. The driver looked in his mirror and realised the lorry were coming faster, so he accelerated. While he was accelerating, a cyclist came out of a private gate and forgot to look at the road. The car hit the cyclist, who was wearing a helmet and was no hurt. The lorry, which was going too fast, hit the back of the car. The vehicles were damaged, but luckily there were no casualties.
