AT THE GROCER'S

Mrs. Ford went to a grocer's. When she arrived, she looked at the shopping list and asked for some butter, some cheese and biscuits.

The grocer put the things on the counter and then asked if that was all. Mrs. Ford added she also wanted a pack of flour, sugar and tea; the grocer got them out and put everything on the counter.

After that Mrs. Ford asked for a tin of tomato soup but the grocer had not got it. Then she noticed there were many tins on a shelf and asked to know what there was in them. The grocer explained that there were only tomatoes and asked Mrs. Ford if she wanted some.

Mrs Ford denied and then asked the grocer to send everything to her house but she added that she also wanted to have a pack of eggs that she would carry home by herself.

The grocer told Mrs Ford that he could send the pack of eggs too, but Mrs Field said that she wouldn't let him do it, because his delivery boy was careless. He had dropped some eggs at the front of her door some days ago!

THE AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Two weeks ago I went to a photography centre and I gave Mr. Dodd a roll. I wanted to have the film developed and the photos printed. Therefore I told Mr. Dodd I would go back the following Tuesday.

When I returned to the centre and Mr Dodd gave me the envelope with the photo inside, I was really eager to open it.

When I opened it there were only 8 photo so I asked to Mr. Dodd about my other 28 photos, because I was sure I had 36 photos in the roll.
Mr Dodd was very afraid and he said that most of the photos weren't good.

When I saw the photos, I remarked that they were awful: in one my sister didn't have legs, in another photo my brother seemed to grow out of a tree. The other photos were almost black or white and Mr. Dodd said that my camera let in light.

Therefore I said I ought to give up with photography career!
