The rhythm

The rhythm gives fluency to the extract and the musicality of the Ode affects the reader attention capturing his attention.

Alliterations contributes to the sonorous effect

 

Language

The language is more poetical and complex than everyday language because Wordsworth chooses the form of Ode. He does not speak about common life but he deals with philosophical questions so the text type and the issues that it deal with condition the lexical choices.

 

Climatic effect

The extract presents a climatic effect that comes from: soul, God, pain, youth, nature priest, man.

By using these words Wordswoth express the message of the Ode: the man loses the close contact with God as he grows old.

The climax express the growth and the removal from God.
