The extract is to recollect from the ode Intimations Of Immortality From Recollections of Early Childhood. William Wordsworth sum up his philosophy of childhood which comes from the influence of the philosophy of Plato. The child sensitive to all natural influences. He had origin from God.

The younger he is the better he perceives the "divine light" which makes everything bright and beautiful. As he grows up, he became incapable of perceiving the relationship with Nature.

The lay-out of the extract is different from sonnets and ballads, it looks more complex.

The speaking voices is remembering a past moment in his life, because in very young age the relationship is close. Everything is recollect from Nature to God.

There are mostly abstract words because in an ode the poet poses philosophical questions, he wants the reader to reflect on the way his distance from the time he still could hold  the memory of God has changed his response to life. The poet is able to perceive nature with the sensitiveness of a child more than common men
