"GUESTS FOR DINNER"
At 5.45 p.m. Mr Allison came home from work and parked his car. His wife went out and he noticed she looked upset. He asked her what the matter was and she answered she had talked to Mrs Johnson on the phone about half an hour before and while they were talking she had invited her and her husband to their house for dinner. Mr Allison replied he was really pleased to have the Johnsons for dinner because they hadn't seen them for ages and he didn't understand the reason why his wife was upset. So she explained him she didn't have anything to make dinner. Suddenly she remembered she had asked her husband to buy some steak three days before. He said sadly he had bought it but it was still in the boot of the car.
