LOOK WHERE YOU’RE GOING!

I liked the Palace Hotel. What mostly impressed me was its long line of glass doors. The last time I had seen it, some men were sticking ugly bands of gold tape on the doors. I asked one of them why they were doing that. I told him they would spoil the appearance of the Hotel. The man told me that, the previous year, seven people had been injured and five doors had been broken. Several people hadn’t seen the doors. I didn’t believe him. I said the glass doors were the first thing you noticed of the Hotel. The man answered that it could seem impossible, but several people have tried to walk straight into the doors. Suddenly I heard a loud crash a few yards behind me. The man said another visitor hadn’t seen one of the doors. I saw a man rubbing his forehead and looking angrily the glass door.
