8) ADRENALINE RUSH

1) I started racing BMX bikes when I was 5. My parents didn’t like it so, when I was 16, I tried to practice other sports. I practiced tennis and football, but I didn’t like them. When I was 20 I went back to biking. At the beginning I had a lot of injuries (broken bones, cuts… ) but then I learned how to fall and how to avoid injuries. I like the adrenaline rush: there’s nothing like that.

2) My parents bought me a pair of roller skates. Then they bought me a pair of inline skates. When I was 16 I started competing. I loved it, but I hated when guys said girls can’t do some things. It pushed me to be better to show that girls can do anything they want to. But then I got a spring knee. I would take about 6 weeks to get better.

3) I started practicing this sport 4 years ago, when I was 20. It was really the sport for me: the time stops and the colours became brighter. The adrenaline rush is very exciting. I’m very lucky because I’ve never got any injury. Mum doesn’t like it: she comes at the shows, but she never watches my jumps.

4) I started surfing in Australia when I was 15. My parents were worried, because they said it was dangerous. But I found it thrilling. I started riding waves every day after school and, at the end, my parents said surfing was ok for girls. Now they find it exiting too. If somebody does what he loves, he’ll become a happy person.
