SDecorte - The Rime of the Ancient Mariner (part IV)

Denotative analysis.

The wedding-guest interrupts the story because he is scared and thinks the mariner is a ghost, but he says that he is alive and not a supernatural creature.

The mariners continues to tell the story: his shipmates are dead and he is alone. He is sad because he can't but see the corps of his mates, who are dead but they seem alive; also he can't die and he is forced to watch them.

But the sight of sea creatures makes him happy and makes him feel less alone. Now the narrator can pray and the Albatross that he has around his neck falls and he is free.
