DINNER FOR TWO

Max was a bachelor and he lived in a small flat. His favourite hobby was cooking and he also liked eating. He had been cooking for a long time and he was an expert. Last Saturday evening his sister Ann called him on. He was in the kitchen and he was cooking. He was wearing an apron. He asked his sister if she would stay for dinner and she answered she was starving. She asked Max if there would be enough food for both them. Max said yes and he showed her the saucepan. Max said it was a special Mexican dish: he had been preparing it for 5 hours. Ann looked in the saucepan and said it smelled very good. She also asked him if he was expecting company for dinner because in the saucepan there was enough food for ten people. His brother answered he wasn’t waiting for anyone: he was going to eat it all by himself.
