"LIFESTYLE CHOICES"

For Frank, who is 23, the most important thing was working with people. He had left his job as a computer programmer in Milan to become a ski instructor in the Alps. He said he had been making more money but he had less time for friends before. After this change he had a smaller flat and no car but he had never been happier. For him that was the least stressful lifestyle. His skischool was a partnership and was frendlier and helthier than his old job.

Anjia left school when she was sixteen and got a job in a small hotel in Bucarest. At first she worked as a cleaner and then she started helping in the reception. Six year she had become the hotel manager but then wanted a more challenging job: she wanted to have her own businness. She wanted to have a bigger hotel and to make it the best in the city. Working for herself was less secure but beeing her own boss was the most important thing for her.

Chiara Donnovan was an accountant. Every day it had taken her two hours to travel to her office. It was a large company and everyone had been stressed: there were too many meetings and she had always gone home late and tired. Then she had moved to New Zeland and had trained in a garden centre. After that she had her own business in growing and selling plants. She said it was more challenging and interesting and she spent most of her time in the best place in the world.
