THE BAG THEY MISSED

The police received a report: six men had stopped a van that was carrying factory wages. They had tied the driver up and they had stolen the van. After three hours the police discovered the van near a lake. They climbed into the back of the van: there was the driver. He had been tied up by the thieves. The policemen freed him and asked him what was happened. The man said the thieves had stopped him a few time after he had left the bank. They had told him to drive to the lake and they had added that if he had shout, they would shoot him. After that they had tied him up. They had taken one of the two bags that were in the back of the van and they had run away. The policeman asked him how much money was there in the bag. The man answered there was no money: the bag was full of letters. The other one contained all the money. He had been sitting on it for the previous three hours.
