I hope that after the next election the new government will reduce tax on petrol. It's already very expensive to own a car, and price have increased a lot during the last few years. It really depends on which party wins. Some politicians say they will get rid of road tax completely, but I think that might be excessive. I haven't decided who to vote for yet, but I will vote, I think it's very important.

B) You're crazy. Everybody's in bed at five in the morning.

A) Yes. So it's great time for a swim – there's nobody in the pool.

Jane and Anna are going to catch a train to London.
Jane is a big football fan and she bought a ticket for Arsenal on the Internet. She is going to watch a match when they're in London. Anna doesn't know what to do while Jane's at the match. Perhaps she will write some postcards.
After the match, they are going to walk along the River Thames so they can see the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. After that, they think they will go for a meal. London taxis are quite expensive so they are going to travel on buses or the Underground.
Anna's uncle lives in London. They are going stay with him tonight. He has got tickets for a musical and they are going to see it tomorrow.

Dear Oliver,

I'm writing this in a café in London! I'm here for a few days with Jane. We are going to do lots of nice things while we're here. Later today, we are going sightseeing. Perhaps we will see some famous people too! My uncle is going to take us to see a musical tomorrow and on Monday Jane and I are going to buy new dresses for your party. I hope they wont' be too expensive!
I'll call you when I get home and tell you all about the musical.

Tomorrow night at school, there is going to be a talk by a famous environmentalist. The talk is all about the problems caused by pollution and what we can do about it. I read his book – it was very interesting. He says that if we don't change our ways, the greenhouse effect will get so bad that we won't be able to stop it. Temperatures will rise too high. He also writes about the effects of acid rain on our forests and says that we should use lead-free petrol to make our cities cleaner. I'll ask him to autograph my book for me!
