"FUTURE PROSPECTS"
Ernest had found an advertisement for a job in a small business company six days earlier. Then he was appointed and so he was being interviewed by one of the company directors, Mr Reed. Ernest was really pleased with his interview also because he was making a lot of pains to avoid telling nonsense. The director was impressed and Ernest seemed to have all the qualification to answer the advertisement positive. He didn't mind working irregular hours or travelling abroad at short notice. He wasn't married, he was going to get married in a few months, but his future wife wouldn't have any objects to his job. Mr Reed read in his application form that Ernest had a job as a salesman before and asked him why he would like to change. Ernest answered he found his old job dull and needed a refreshing change. After the interview the director complained to Ernest about all the people who had been appointed before, during the interview, had asked whether the job would carry a pension and the director criticized they wanted to retire before starting working! But Ernest too at the end asked anxiously if that job would get a pension.
