FUTURE PROSPECTS

Ernest, after he had applied for a job, went for an interview with the company director Mr Reed. The director asked him some questions to know if he had the qualifications for that job. He asked him if he was ready to work irregular hours and to travel abroad at a short notice. Ernest said yes. Then the director asked him if he was married, to know if his wife would have any objection. Ernest answered he was going to be married in a few months, but he believed his future wife wouldn’t object. Mr Reed asked him what he had been doing up to that moment. Ernest answered he was a salesman, but he found that job dull and he needed a refreshing change. The director was very impressed. He said most young people prefers dull jobs, and the first question they ask during a job interview is if the job carries a pension. He thought you can’t ask if a work carries a pension if you even not know if you have the job. After he had heard that, Ernest anxiously asked the company director if that job carries a pension.
