Millie was looking in a shoe shop. She was gazing at a pair of boots with fear which was on display. She thought they were just the thing she was looking for and since they were without price she decided to inquire how much they cost. She came into the shop and asked the shop assistant for the price of the boots. As the price was reasonable, she decided to try them on. She sat and the shop assistant brought her the boots. While she was giving them to Millie, she noticed her stockings, which were of fine white lace. The shop assistant asked her when she bought them, because that kind of stockings was very fashionable and sought-after at that moment and she had always failed to find them. So, Millie answered saying she was given them by her grandmother.
