Summary

Mr. Thompson was a very nervous person. This is the reason why he had never learned how to drive a car until he was 30. He had always had the convenience of someone else to drive him anywhere (his mother and then his wife), but he decided to learn driving the car. On the second attempt, he managed to pass the driving exam.

One day, he went into the town by himself. While he was trying to park his car between two other parked cars, he damaged one of them slightly. He wrote to the insurance company and they sent him a form to fill in about the accident. One of the questions asked how could the owner of the other car have prevent from the accident. Mr. Thompson thought for some minutes, then he wrote he could have parked his car on another street.
