Jack Owkins was the football coach of an American university college. He was always trying to find the smartest football players for his team, but he hadn't always managed to do that. One day he brought an excellent and young football player in front of the college dean to ask him if he could be allowed to the college without examinations. He was reluctant, and Jack had to persuade him. However, the dean wanted to ask him some questions. Although they were very easy, the football player wasn't able to answer them. One of the questions was what five time seven was. The footballer thought for a minute and then said thirty-six. The dean looked at Jack desperately. To justify his choice, the coach said he had made a mistake only by two, but so he revealed his ignorance too.
