POSTMODERNISM

Postmodernism i a movement different from modernism.

Modernism is a current which lies Truth beyond "Reality".While Postmodernism is seen like a reaction to the established modernist era.

The art of modernist is innovative and formally complex.  For the most important philosophers of postmodernism Truth isn't absolute a and pure: it's a form of abstract or sensual reality.

Intelligent readers can find two great important examples of such way of thinking in philosophers like Derrida and Lyotard.

The first replies communication is based on no definitive link between the signifier and the signified. Vice versa the second championes the cause of "little narrative" a narrative which needs no foundational justification. With postmodernism it is assumed that  our language is imprecise and the essential of the new system of thought is that people must react and  try to explain the real questions of life on a personal basis.
