WHY I WOULD LIKE TO GO TO LONDON?

Next summer I will have the chance of go to London for two weeks with other students who want to improve their English. That study tour offers the opportunity to live in a English campus in the centre of London, to study every day English, and to visit the city and other places of England.

I would like to go to London because that study tour is a very nice way to improve my language, not only with the lessons, but also with the daily English. It is an opportunity to speak every day the language, and above all to listen English all day and all the weeks: so it is important for the pronunciation and the intonation, because in that way it is possible to listen the correct accent. Moreover, it is a chance to learn the conversational English, which is spoken by British, and to consolidate basic English day by day.

To go to London means to meet at first hand a new culture, which I’ve met only with the books. It means to know the English life, who is different from the Italian, so compare that two different cultures. It means to visit new places, to know new persons, to learn a different story. So it is an opportunity to improve tour knowledge and to reflect about yourself: it is the way to grow up.

The opportunity to live in an university campus is a great chance to see English school: you can know a new different education, you can live like the English students, you can meet a lot of new students and persons, you can enjoy the opportunities that English school offers, which are different by the Italian’s, you can learn something new but at the same time you can have fun a lot. So you can improve your knowledge.

There is an other reason why I would like to go to London: to see a football match. I like very much football but in Italy often the sport degenerates into corruption and violence between the supporter and the players. Since football in England is really a sport, made of “values”, like the respect, the company and sportsmanship, I would to like to attend to a derby of London. Moreover, the Stamford Bridge is a very beautiful stadium and the supporters are very respectful: I think that football in London is the triumph of the sport.
