Why I would like to visit London.

I would like to go to London not only for the historical and artistic aspect of the city, but also to focus my attention on the areas where the presence of young people is more accentuated. One of the reasons because I would like to trip to this metropolis is to visit Trafalgar Square, the centre of the administrative and political life of London.

On this square there is also the National Gallery, the most important museum in London, where tourists can admire the works of the most famous European artists of the past and the contemporary. The square and the museum are two of the main attractions in the city and I would go there to admire the works of the great Italian painters that are preserved there.

Since I am a fan of mystery novels and thrillers I would love to visit the places that were the protagonists of the stories about Jack the Ripper, trying to deepen my knowledge about him with the help of expert guides and maybe going to search for information in archives instead of on the web. The story of this serial killer ever discovered fascinates me and I would like to have the opportunity to learn more about him.

Another reason why I would go to London is to be able to see up close the Big Ben and perhaps to be able to visit it, even though that right is reserved only to the British. I think this tower is the main symbol of the city after the residence of Queen Elizabeth II, although the latter would not be a stage for which I would make a similar journey.

Another reason, if not the principal, so I would go to London is definitely the shopping that, in the shops of Carnaby Street and in the famous Portobello Market, I could do until to drain my bank account, or rather that of my parents. Stores that interest me most are not those of the latest trends but those of alternative style, even second-hand clothing, where I could create my own style and perhaps find articles that here in Italy are not so available.
