Obama's acceptance speech is an argumentative text, because he presented a thesis and then used arguments in its favor, in order to strengthen his thesis.

In the introduction, Obama talked about his family, his history and his career, duties, his re-election as President of United States of America, and he thanked people who gave him support and this opportunity.

In the body, Obama talked about the future of America and its people. He explained his opinion about people’s vote because people have to decide about their own future. He explained his decision about renewable energy, taxes, economy, education and work: sectors attacked by the worst crisis that America has ever been through. He also talked about hope, responsibility and values of older generations, that are slipping away from American society.

In the conclusion, he picked up some points discussed in the body and thanked everyone.
