Introduction (from “Michelle, I love you...” to “…so am I”)
Obama thanked the important people in his life: who helped him during the campaign ballot box and the citizens who voted for him.
He continued his speech with specific identification of problems claiming to have the proposals for solutions.
He concluded the introduction of his speech making fun of the stratagems adopted by his opponent to capture the votes of the electors.
Arguments of his speech:
The first argument he talk about tax evasion and fiscal pressure. Obama said that the lower middle class is not able to pay the taxes imposed by the state and for this there was a tax reduction that can’t be extended to the wealthy because this will not lead benefit to the U.S. economy.
The second argument is about the economy: Obama said that to restore the economy of the country is necessary to create new jobs for the American people and increase exports of national products developing small industries.
The third argument is about the economic development that is characterized by a total dependence on oil. According to Obama you should focus on the development and use of renewable and non-polluting energy improving both the U.S. economy and the health of the citizens.
The fourth argument is that to carry out these changes it is necessary that future generations have an adequate academic preparation to have a greater awareness of the issues that will face in the future. Only giving students belonging to all social classes the opportunity to have schools with teachers trained and motivated America will have the possibility to change.
In the fifth argument Obama faced is the America soldiers who are in the Middle East in war zones. He said that in 2014 he will bring home the soldiers in Afghanistan but that however the American people will always defend themselves against terrorist attacks. He will help soldiers on their return guaranteeing jobs, housing and medical care.
In the sixth argument Obama talk about a necessary to change the situation that all make an effort, but he won’t penalizing the middle class to favour the rich and cut their taxes. He recognized that the country has big ambitions but which may implement only with the cooperation of all.
Conclusion (from “America, I never said…” to “…these United States”)
Obama concluded by asking voters to vote his figure representing, his ideas and his plans for the future of America. And his last sentence was “Thank you, God bless you, and may God bless these United States.”.
