2/5)Why do you think it was born/What is his main function? I think Facebook is a useful communication tool so maybe it was born to let people to keep in touch with other people. One more reason may be that Facebook was born to help people to express their feelings, like a sort of diary.

Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow Harvard University students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. The website's membership was initially limited by the founders to Harvard students, but was expanded to other colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and Stanford University.
