Twitter is more fashionable than Facebook

A friend of mine said that the social network twitter is more fashionable than Facebook. I have not twitter but I know that there are some differences between Twitter and Facebook.

Let us see what we are talking about in the followings paragraphs, writing the pros and the cons:

The advantages of Facebook in my opinion are that if you want see the profile of one person you have to have his friendship and so his consent. In this way you can maintain your privacy even if you cannot hide some information. 

Another point in favour of Facebook is that you can publish and share images or videos and you can decide who can see them so you can protect again your privacy. You can also tag your friends in an image or in a video and I think this is very funny.

The biggest advantage of Facebook is that you can create events and invite your friends to them and they can confirm the participation or not. In this manner you can know who is going to participate to your event.

A further point in favour of Facebook is that there is a chat and this is useful because if there are friends in chat you can message with them, it is also useful if you have not money in your handy and you want communicate with some friends, indeed if they are connected in Facebook you can write to them more quickly than with your handy.

An advantage of Twitter is that you can see everything about everybody and comment people's status because it is not hidden and it is not necessary to be friends.

The biggest advantage is that in twitter there are more famous people so if you want to know more about them you can see and read their profiles also without their permission because in twitter everything is public.

In Facebook if they do not accept your friendship you can not see their profiles, there is more security in comparison to twitter.

An advantage of twitter in common with Facebook is that you can make public and share videos that someone else has published.

A disadvantage of Facebook was that it was not organised very well but now it is more structured of before.

Another disadvantage of Facebook is that if you delete your profile you can not save the images where you are tagged in but they remain online and everybody can see them.

The biggest disadvantage of twitter is that you can not protect and hide your identity but on the contrary everybody can see everything about you. In this way your privacy is not sure and it is easier that there are problems of stalking.

Another disadvantage of twitter is that there is not the chat but if you want write to your friend you can only send private messages.

For these reasons I think that Twitter is not more fashionable than Facebook but on the contrary I think that Facebook is better than Twitter.
