TEXTUAL TYPOLOGY PURPOSE: To persuade the interlocutor to believe in a thesis

 

OBJECTIVE AIM: to persuade American people that they had chosen the right path for the United States’ future and encourage them about the possibility to get better with the work of everybody.

 

LANGUAGE USED: the syntax is simple, made by short sentences and frequent punctuation. The lexicon is easily understandable and the language is informal. This is because the interlocutor is the entire world.

 

DATA USE: The author uses quantitative information to report to real things (validity of his thesis). The qualitative information that the author uses are about his family and American people who he met, so he wants to give an efficient example of personal success and good America.
