Francesca Pecorella- 2A. “Summaries”.

1) “The new secretary” Summary.

Mr. Bright phones more and more times to sell some new type writers to Mr. Downey. The new secretary, Miss Simpson, answered the phone. After asking who was speaking, she asked her boss what she had to say; so, Mr. Downey explained her about the insistence of the man and he told her to tell him that he wasn’t present. Once back on the phone, at last, the secretary said: “Mr. Downey (?) said he isn’t in his office”.

2) “Two tramps and a dog” Summary.

There were two tramps, one of them was complaining about their complete lack of money. Suddenly, a car which  was moving quickly, arrived towards the trumps, who ran on the side of the road. But a dog, which was following them, hasn’t had the same instinct, so it dead, hit by the car. Then the driver went to one tramp, he apologized to the man and gave him 5 dollars.
