Obama is aimed at the entire American and global public and for this reason must articulate the concepts in a way simple and understandable to everyone, but without being obvious. To do so he uses short periods and specific terms but refer to everyday life. the work done on the analysis of terms shows that the 10% of the words are of Latin origin and that most of these concerns the semantic fields of business, politics, labour and school education. Another ploy used by Obama to make simple concepts that intended to convey to the audience is the presentation of quantitative and qualitative data tangible and known by all. As quantitative data he does not report the actual numbers but it illustrates the numbers approximating to hundreds or thousands. A qualitative data instead is the fact that the crisis exceeded mentions during the tenure of Bill Clinton, to make it clear to Americans that it is possible to improve the economic situation.
