Two tramps and a dog

Two tramps were walking along a street with nothing to eat. At some point a car coming towards them and they moved on one side of the road. A dog, however, remained in the middle of the road and the car killed him. The driver thinking that the dog was of two tramps gave them 5 pounds. When the car drove off the two tramps had gained 5 pounds even if the dog was not theirs.

Our new secretary

Miss Simpson, the new secretary, answered the phone. After listening to the words of Mr. Bright, the secretary to Mr. Calder reported that Mr. Bright wanted to talk to him. But Mr. Calder annoyed by repeated calls from Mr. Bright decided not to answer because his office did not need new typewriters. Mr. Calder said then to Miss Simpson to tell Mr. Bright that he was not in his office and when the new secretary spoke with Mr. Bright said that Mr. Calder had told her to say that he was not in his office.
