THE HORSE COULDN’T SING

Fred asked his friend if he had enjoyed the opera that he had seen last night and if it had been a good performance. His friend answered that he didn’t know how the performance had been because he had seen only half of it and also whole the audience had left before the end. So Fred, deduced that the performance had not been really funny or engaging. Instead his friend said that he had really enjoyed the opera, and explained what had happened: there had been two live horses, that the singers had been leading across the stage. Suddenly one of the horses had jumped off the stage and had started to run round the theatre, until the curtain had fallen and we all had have to leave. Then Fred suggested: “ Perhaps the horse couldn’t sing”.
