The first thing the intelligent reader can notice is that this article is taken from “The Guardian” internet site. At the top of the page there is the title, “A crisis of Capitalism”, and a subtitle,”the financial problems plaguing Europe and Italy are not home – grown. They are a part of global attack on labour”: first of all, the reader can notice that the main topic of the article is capitalism that influences the economic system in Italy and in Europe. Riccardo Bellofiore, the author of the article, believes that financial problems in Italy and Europe are caused by a global attack on labour. Since from the presentation of the article the reader can also understand that there is specific structure: the first part present the European problem focusing on the Italian economic situation: to understand the nature of the crisis you need to look at it in a wider European context and to underline the limits of the Eurozone, in particular the economic system of Germany. The second and last part concludes the analysis of the author: this is not only a financial crisis, but a capitalistic crisis. It is necessary a New Deal, an European, united, intervent, in order to restabilize internationalism. The language belong to the economic register, with a lot of recent terms we usually listen on TV: currency, public budget, spread, lender, inflation, mercantilism. In order to understand the article, the intelligent reader should necessarly know the different meanings of these terms.
