Vodafone is a very famous Telephone Company in the world. It is very careful about its spots on TV, which have to induce the odiens to buy their promotions.

In this spot, I’m particularly attract by the protagonist: the bear. This bear can think, speak and walk like a human. The spot is set in a rink, there is cold and it is snowing. We can find a similar weather in Italy during the period that the spot had been broadcast, to take the watcher in a familiar setting. So, the bear start to ice-skate in the rink. Everything is surprised about his ability on skating. At the end, he ask for a quote about his skills. This is the pretest to show the name of the new promotion: +250. When the speaker explains the content of the promotion, you can listen a music which is one of the most famous song of the period, to attract the attention of everyone who know this song. In the last few second on the spot, there is the slogan of the Vodafone: “Power to You”. It makes in evidence that YOU can choose, you have the possibility to find the best promotion for your necessity, if you switch to Vodafone. The language is also colloquial, to come near the everyday situation.

In conclusion, everything is set to copy the everyday life, to take the watcher, listener, reader in a common and comfortable situation.

This is the spot broadcast in Italy, but it isn’t the same in all the countries. Vodafone have understood that in different countries, there are different mentality, and so there have to be used different strategies to raise the odiens attention. In this spot for Italy, you find the ice-skating. This is a sport common in Italy; the most part of Italian people know who Carolina Kostner is, one of the best ice-skater in the world. This is a sport which have many follower in Italy, and so attracts the attention during a spot. In Africa, probably, many people don’t know what ice-skating is.
