1)As I read the text I felt confused: Woolf's writing is complex since it does not
follow the traditional English syntax, it is full with adjectives, exclamations,
questions and at the same time it is elliptical, reticent and the reader is
asked to make conjectures and fill the gaps in order to find meaning.

2)The story is about the flight of the heron. It seems as if the world were seen from
its perspective.

3) She uses accumulation and, as I said, syntax sound unusual: there is not an out and
out plot but there is just a mixture of scenes and actions.

4) She probably wanted to break conventions and rules and look at the world from her
own perspective, through her own style. Literature was a chance to her to
explore her own identity and possibilities, going beyond the surface of things
and conventions. She was a writer in advance.
