by ROlivato - (2013-02-04)
Up to  5 B - Dubliners and The DeadUp to task document list
In the  Eveline's short story  from  "The Dubliners" , the author introduces the character of Eveline, a girl of nineteen from  Dublin. J.Joyce uses the technique of "showing", inwhich the narrator hides, disappears. The writer uses short, vague and descriptive phrases to picture the protagonist's story and personality. So, through the free indirect speech J.Joyce is able to give a huge quantity of details which give a connotation of reality to the whole story.
