1.   When I read the text I felt confused because I didn’t understand what the text was about. In fact Woolf’s works are complex and particular because she uses soliloquy, interior monologue and stream of consciousness, so their works are different from the other. Besides I find the text difficult because the words used are not simple. In addition to this Woolf’s writing is different from the others because there isn’t a precise structure and plot in the text.

   The story tells about the a bird, the heron, that flies above a city and sees what happens in it. Besides the narrator provides to explain people’s actions, that aren’t connected, they are different.

3.   In my opinion all the story is unusual because I find difficult to comprehend the meaning. In addition to this, the text is unusual because there isn’t a plot and so the reader doesn’t understand what is the story about.

4.   Woolf adopted this way of writing because she wanted to change the concept of poetry. For Woolf poetry means to analyze the psychological aspect of people and not their physical aspect. It follows that the language is more particular: in her works she used a lot of figures of speech and she focused her attention in the stream of consciousness.
