1882:  birth of Virginia Woolf

1895:  her mother’s death

1904:  her father’s death; she tried to suicide; she settled in Bloomsbury

1905:  she began her job career as writer

1910:  the foundation of the Bloomsbury group, that was a circle of intellectuals

1912:  she married Leonard Woolf

1915:  she published her first novel, The voyage out

1925:  she published her most famous novels, Mrs Dalloway

1928:  she termed the novel Orlando

1940:  Virginia Woolf’s house is destroyed by a German bombardment

1941:  Woolf’s suicide caused by her mental illness

1941:  publication of her last work, Between the Acts
