CAPITALISM: THE SUMMARY

According to the thinking of some of the most important men
of the nineteenth and twentieth
centuries
, capitalism  can take on a positive
or negative
meaning. Some believe that it has enriched even more who already was,
others say it has improved their state
of life thanks to the free market(Thomas
Friedman)
and the construction of new markets, bringing the goods at affordable prices for everyone, or,
as in our  days, entice people to buy items
they do not need, such as the iphone
or branded clothes to feel fashionable. An example of that is
explained by Samuel
Smiles, saying
that the
man, spending all,
then having no more money for more investment. According to Al Capone, the famous gangster, capitalism
enriches only those who are in power, then condemning
those who work in a difficult economic situation: this thought, in my opinion, is still valid,
as there are still such politicians
and not just continue
to steal
money from taxpayers.
The Capitalism could corrupt politics but not only: sports, literature and art
are corruptible(Eric Hoffer)

On the contrary Winston Churchill saying "not enough people see it as a
healthy horse" wants to explain
that capitalism is the only way to advance the society; so it isn't  "a cow
they can milk" or "a predatory tiger to be shot". Also John Maynard Keynes has
a thought  like that of the British prime
minister because he says "Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most
wickedest of man will do the most wickedest of thing for the greatest good of everyone":
it means also a wicked man can do, in any way, something to improve the
situation  of everyone. I think this is a
positive conception of the Capitalism.

A negative conception of capitalism is probably given both Deng Xiaoping
and Thomas Sowell: the first said "to become rich is glorious", that means
there is a person who gets rich and the other people lose their money; the
second saying Capitalism knows only green and all else is subservient(race,
gender, ethnicity), he wants to underline the capitalists want only to get rich
without thinking about condition of their workers: to earn they will take
advantage of anybody.

In addiction Joseph Schumpeter says Capitalism is the incessantly
construction on destruction of a new economic structure: he thinks is important
to create new markets in order to change the economic structure and to improve
the situation of a state.

In my opinion capitalism is useful only if it improves
the status of people's lives through the construction of new markets and
industries, enriching both the capitalists and the
workers
coming and then allow everyone to live
in a
decent standard of living.
