In Shakespeare’s book, Macbeth, the protagonist wrote a letter to his Lady to inform her what had happened.
And so, when his wife saw the letter, the reader can understand her opinion and personality.
Macbeth asked for help because he was confused, he didn’t know what to do. His Lady is very ambitious and understood immediately how to take action. She convinced him to manage to become king, even if they had to kill Duncan. This make in evidence the strong and ambitious personality of the Lady, who had the power to decide also his husband destiny. In that period, the women had a marginal role in the society, they left the decision to her husband. But here, there is the inverse behaviour.
The Lady also analyzed Macbeth’s personality; he is ambitious, but not cruel enough to gain power. He was too loyal to his king to kill him. If you are honest, you mustn’t gain any important political role, in her opinion. She knew to be very important for Macbeth, indeed he wouldn’t have killed none alone.
