FCarbonera -The French Friends

Since the 12^th September in our class there are two girls who are French . They have a hand at "Progetto Comenius" that's why they have decided to come to Italy. During the three months  Aude who is 16 years old, and Claire ,who is 17 years old, live in two different families where they can learn new Italian words.

What's more they spend a lot of time in our classroom with us and try to understand what we say . Claire speaks good Italian and we always understand her immediately , however Aude is a bit shy and she is afraid of speaking in front of us . I think she is terrified of making a mistake.

The first week they were close and they always spoke French. Now they are between Italian boys and whenever they don't understand what the teacher is saying, they can ask for an explanation.

On Wednesday our Italian teacher , Mrs Gambin, decided to team them up with my group so I had an opportunity to know them better. Therefore we have decided to use them to talk about the cathedral in their country : Agen.

I am glad to know them and I hope to spend a lot of time with them so I can help them to understand and learn Italian.

I think this is a useful opportunity for them: they are improving their Italian  and they are discovering and learning a different culture. That's why I think the Comenius project offers an important opportunity to travel around  Europe and to make new friends who may come to your country.
