This article "A-Z business quotations" is taken from "The Economist" and in the text are reported some definitions of capitalism given by very important people. According to the journalist Capitalism means different thing todifferent people and he thinks that the best definition of Capitalism is givenby Joseph Schumpeter, the author of Capitalism, Socialism and Democracy in 1942.

He upholds that the capitalist process is the same process of Industrial mutation and it revolutionizes the economic structure from within destroying the old one and creating a new one. This is a process of Creative Destruction.

According to Winston Churchill, British Prime Minister during the Second World War. Capitalism is a healthy horse pulling a
sturdy wagon but other people see it as a tiger to be shot or as a cow they can milk.

The writer Thomas Friedman, considers the free-market capitalism the only answer. For the philosopher Karl Marx  capital brings money and commodities and to the great economist John Maynard Keynes capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone. Instead for Eric Hoffer capitalism and business have a negative consequences because they corrupt everything.
