In  the article "The crisis of capitalism", taken from "The Guardian",  not  only the financial crisis in Europe but more specifically the Italian crisis  is discussed  by  journalist  Riccardo Bellofiore.

He provides a key  to read and understand the situation. He analyzes the limits of the euro zone, and so some important  elements need to be considered: its single currency, the central bank, an insignificant European budget and a different speed  of economy in each member State.

At  the end of his article, the economist points out that this is not just a financial crisis but a crisis of capitalism. Some economists  have tried to provide  a solution to such crisis: first of all, a socialization of investments, more efficient banks,  programmes  of utility, a  state intervention as a direct provider of employment and capital controls.
