In our last lesson the teacher showed us some works made by other students in order to let us see what we should do in the future. There were showed different kinds of works like voice registrations, short films, written documents and photos. The main argument of these works was Manchester and British industrialization.

We first heard a registration made by Claire (the French girl who is in our class). In this audio file Clare talked about Manchester but I didn’t understand anything because I’m not very good in French.

After that the teacher showed us a short clip with photos of Manchester and a nice song on the background. In this clip there were compared images of the old Manchester at the beginning of industrialization and the today’s city. In the end we were able to see the differences between the two periods, like the different way of build structures and the different style of constructions.

What’s more we saw a short film. The plot of the film is about a girl with catholic parents who falls in love with another girl. Despite their catholic nature her parents used to beat her so she decided to run away from home with her lover.

We read a description of the film’s plot too.

All these works let us able to see the difference and the progress from the industrialization up to now. The allow us as well to take examples for our future works.
