S.: Have you heard the news? Ian and Monica decided to get merried.

M.: No way! Has he told his parents yet?

S.: Yes, he told them last night.

M.: When did they meet?

S.: They met last year.

M.; Has she finished college?

S.: No, she hasn’t finished jet.

 

Exercise 5

M.: well, have you told your parents yet?

I.: yes- I’ve just told them! Gran’s really pleased but my parents aren’t too happy.

M.: Oh dear!  I’m so glad that my bparents haave already accepted the idea.

I.: I’d really like to see you. Have you finished your work yet?

M.: no, I haven’t finished it yet. It’s really difficult. Have you ever felt that you just can’t concentrate?

I.: hold on a minute…

Ma.: Sorry to interrupt. I’ve just talked to your mum and dad and everithing’s going to be ok. Oh, and give my love to Monica.

I.: Thanks, Gran! Did you hear Monica?

M.: Yes, i did. Listen- I’ll do my work tomorrow. We need to celebrate!

            B:  well it’s  only 7 p.m. You can do it now!

            A: but my favorite tv programme has just started…
