Lately people discuss about the abolition of compulsory military service in all countries. First of all we need to differentiate military service from go to war, because in many countries once you join the army you are sent to war. This is not always the case because in neutral countries military service has no relation with war, for example in Switzerland each person who reached legal age have to choose between civil service and military service without having to go to war. Obviously military service has advantages and also disadvantages. One disadvantage is that the service period last long you are engaged five days a week so you have only the weekend for you. However the military service teach you respect compared to people and discipline.
