It has been claimed that studying English abroad is very useful. Indeed there are different reasons which persuade a person. First of all, if you live in an English-speaking country, your English should improve more quickly because you can practice your English in everyday life and not only in the classes. You have several opportunities to hear and speak English. For example, when you need something you have to ask it in English and not in others languages, so you are compelled to try to speak its language. Therefore you improve your speaking skills and your vocabulary. Indeed, the pronunciation and the vocabulary are  very important. You can listen and understand the intonation of the different words not to make errors in the future and every day you can learn new words. Spending time with native speakers and listening to what they say is a great exercise for your brain to memorize the new words and the right intonation of them. In an English-speaking country you practice especially your speaking skills, while in your home country you train your writing ones. Moreover, some people translate a concept from their own language in English without thinking in the same way of an English speaker. And this is the biggest difficulty.

Further, when you go in a foreign country, you know a new culture. You note differences, for examples in food, appearances and personal habits. If you go to live for a period in a English house you have to adjust to the custom of the family, but you do new experiences that you have never done.

While you live abroad, you will meet not only natives to the culture in which you are studying, but also other international students who are as far from home as yourself. You know several people of different countries.

One argument against is that travelling and living in another country are expensive. But there are also some resolutions: if you want you can find cheap travels and if you don't have money to pay an apartment you can live with a family giving them a hand.

In conclusion, studying English is very important because it is the international language of the word and the better way to do it is to go in an English-country to improve it.
