Exercise 5.
Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing to have some information because in the near future I plan to visit the north east of England.
On the advice of a friend, I recently visited your archaeological site, and after reading the various proposals on possible routes, my attention was caught by an article about the archaeological site of Hadrian's Wall. What interested me more are the construction techniques used, since the dimensions of the work are significant, I would also like to visit the forts for housing soldiers, especially because I was struck by the fact that they had the possibility to use hot baths.
Could you please tell me if and when it would be possible to visit the site together with an expert guide that explains to me the characteristics and the history of the wall?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes
