Up to  4BLS - From and About Hamlet and MacbethUp to task document list

Hamlet is an adolescent who has to face many problems: he has to accept the death of his father and the marriage between his mother and his uncle. He also suffers from love and solitude.

He could be everyone because he suffers from common problems and his family situation is not very unusual.

Like everyone else he feels frozen in front o problems because he does not know how to face them. He asks himself what is right and what is wrong, like every adolescent.

In his reflections he faces some existential problems (then problems of every human being) like the one expressed by the question “to be or not to be”. In his famous monologue he speaks about himself, but also about the everyone’s psychology: every human being is scared by the unknown, therefore they prefer living than facing the possibility of something after death that they don’t know.

For this reason Hamlet could be considered the stereotype of everyone, but what’s more he is also more intelligent than many people. Infect he not only thinks, but he also acts and tries to adapt creatively to the situation to solve his problems.

The power of his genius could be seen in two actions: he pretends his madness to have more freedom of act. He puts on stage the possible story of his father’s murder to see his step father’s reaction.

But like everyone, at the same time, he is limited in his actions by his emotions: he is jealous, but he does not want his mother to suffer; he loved his death father, but he feels scared when he sees his ghost.

In conclusion I can say that Hamlet is the symbol of every intelligent man who has to solve problems.
